Counselling ~ Face to Face
Counselling has been called the 'talking' therapy. The counsellor and client often meet face to face at a designated time and place to 'talk' through the clients issues. It may be used to help the client resolve conscious conflicts sometimes with a focus on setting goals and problem solving. Although called the 'talking' therapy a wide variety of techniques may be used by the therapist accorging to his/her training and method of working. A counsellor's training background may be from a variety of fields and life experiences.
