Welcome to autonomous wellbeing. The ayurveda and yoga studio is a fusion of hospitality, art and wellbeing, providing a bespoke stress and lifestyle management practice. Wellness is not a right like respect it has to be earned. My teaching and wellbeing practice is based on personal experiential understanding of the therapeutic benefits of ayurveda & yoga. The emphasis is on individual personal development guiding clients with the following principles. Principle of difference: No two people have the same body. Each person has unique abilities and individual capacities. Principle of effort: Physical, emotional, mental and spiritual change cannot happen without effort. Initially, effort, creates discomfort (stretching) where physical or psychological. It is essential to understand the difference between effort: (stretching) and force (over-stretching): the latter will cause pain and injury the former is discomfort or ‘heightened awareness’, which with patience will eventually become ‘effortless effort’ (gentle stretching). Principle of practice: Progress comes from regular practice. It is quite simple if you practice you will eventually master and gain the rewards of ‘effortless effort’ you will develop strength, flexibility, balance, ease, elegance and equilibrium. Principle of relaxation: Relaxation allows us to stand back from our hectic, stressful, age producing lifestyles and to be an observer of our habitual behaviour patterns. Helping us to adapt more effectively with the stressful situations that put our body & mind under strain, leaving us calm.
