Welcome to the ukTherapy Directory for Nutrition
Nutrition West Sussex
The Nutritional therapist is concerned with the taking in and use of food and other
nourishing material by the body of the client.
Nutrition is seen as a 3-part process. Firstly the food or drink is consumed. Secondly the body breaks down the food or drink into nutrients. Thirdly the nutrients
travel through the bloodstream to different parts of the body where they are used as 'fuel' and for many other purposes.
To give the body proper nutrition the Nutritional therapist aids the client to know the
food s/he has to eat and drink to obtain the key nutrients s/he needs.

Is Your Food Making You Ill?
According to the British Allergy Foundation an astounding 45% of the UK population are affected by food intolerances which can be associated with chronic illness conditions.

Diagnosis is further complicated by the fact that often four or five - sometimes more - foods are implicated; sometimes the reaction may be to combinations of food, rather than single sources.
