EFT / Meridian Therapies Hampshire
The terms 'Energy Psychology' and 'Meridian Therapy' are used
to describe as set of related but distinct therapeutic techniques:
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT), Be Set Free Fast (BSFF) and Thought Field Therapy
(TFT).
EFT was developed by Gary Craig, a Stanford engineer, based on Dr Roger Callahan's 'Thought Field Therapy' (described below) and is essentially Acupuncture without needles. The
technique employs tapping on or the light massaging of, various acupuncture points, while concentrating on the presented problem. It is claimed to be widely applicable and effective, with relief often being obtained in a
few minutes. The technique is simple to learn and is often taught to clients for their future use.
TAT was developed in America by the acupuncturist, Tapas Fleming but but uses neither needles or
pressure. Rather, it involves touching acupressure points lightly while considering various factors around the presenting problem. It was initially used in the treatment of allergies but has since been extended to a wide
range of problems from physical and emotional distress to major trauma. It is claimed to be a fast and effective method of obtaining lasting solutions to the problems presented.
BSFF was
developed in America by clinical psychologist, Larry Nims, again following the work of Dr Roger Callahan's 'Thought Field Therapy'. It developed along separate lines to EFT (see above) however, utilising different
tapping points and techniques. Later versions, often referred to as iBSFF, do not use tapping at all. The technique is claimed to be simple yet very effective.
TFT was originally developed by the
psychologist Dr Roger Callahan and is the basis for the later techniques of EFT and BSFF (see above). Unlike EFT, however (which requires the student to learn only one comprehensive tapping routine to cover all
presenting problems), TFT requires the student to learn ten to fifteen different tapping routines (called algorithms), where each routine is designed to cover a specific problem only.

Introduction to EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)
One simple formula fits all. It looks silly, it feels stupid, but hey, if it works... OK, so can you really be free from cigarettes, overeating, undereating, shyness, backache, asthma, eczema, etc etc etc with this one simple formula? And does it really take 1.1 minutes per 'round'? And what is a 'round' of EFT?...

What is EFT?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques and is based on the body’s natural energy system that has been known and utilised for healing in the East for over five thousand years and to which we in the “enlightened” West, are just opening our minds.
Natural and Herbal Remedies for Depression
Depression can occur when life isn’t going right. Feeling “down” when unhappy in work, relationships, and life situations can happen to anyone. Counselling can be very helpful, supportive and positive. However depression can also be biochemical, and occur regardless of how life is going.

Simple Remedies to Help Relieve Stress
Life is not without its share of stress. Even activities such as skiing down a mountain, aiming for higher goals or falling in love can take a toll on one’s nerves. (Not to mention your car breaking down, an unexpected bill or a petty argument. The list can seem endless!)
