Acupuncture London - Central
Acupuncture is an ancient oriental healing technique based on the Taoist
philosophy of balancing energy meridians within the body, thus allowing the body to heal itself.
It is based on the theoretical concept of balanced Qi (pronounced 'chee') or vital energy that flows throughout
the body via certain pathways that are accessed by puncturing the skin with hair-thin needles at particular locations called acupuncture points.
Stimulation of acupuncture points is believed to stimulate the
brain and spinal cord to release chemicals that change the experience of pain or cause biochemical changes that may stimulate healing and promote general well-being.
