FIRST DEGREE- Beginner
2 day course, 10-5.00 pm. 2-6 students per course
First Degree Reiki Training is about connecting to the Energy, developing your sensitivity to the flow of energy, beginning your own healing and expanding your mindset to allow you to channel the energy effectively.
Training is an informal mix of lecture, discussion, interactive demonstration and hands on practice so that you gain understanding and experience steadily throughout the 2 days of the training. By the end you will have enough confidence and understanding to begin to use Reiki for yourself and for other people.
For people who intend to go on to Professional level practice this level 1 training is the first part of Practitioner training in Reiki. The Practitioner certification which I offer is in full compliance with the National Occupational Standards for Reiki and has been approved by the UK Reiki Federation.
This level of training will give you:
• The confidence and knowledge of basic technique to treat yourself, friends and family
• You will be personally attuned to the Reiki energy and gain experience in channelling it
• Supervised practice of treating other people with Reiki
• A good understanding of the history of Reiki and your place in the Reiki Lineage
• The philosophical background of the therapy
• Basic understanding of body structure
• Introduction to the Energy System of the body
• Understanding of the links between Body and Mind and why we fall ill
• An Introduction to Meditation
After the training students are encouraged to keep a journal of self-treatment progress and a log of treatments of other people. This is not a formal Case Study requirement but an aid to the Reiki journey. If students go on to the higher levels of training this log forms part of the necessary documented experience. It is also intended to help you to highlight areas of practice you are not clear on and to act as a basis for discussion in subsequent training.
Christine Sutton is an experienced Reiki Master Teacher registered with the UK Reiki Federation. Full support is offered to all students and further training up to professional and Master/Master Teacher levels is available when you are ready to proceed. All courses comply with the guidelines for Reiki teaching suggested by the UK Reiki Federation and for the new National Occupational Standards for Reiki.
