Japanese Acupuncture is an exceptionally safe, gentle and effective treatment for a very wide range of conditions.

Safe ~ Traditional acupuncture first identifies and then treats the root causes of ill-health. The primary focus of each treatment is to restore the body’s innate ability to heal itself by balancing and strengthening the vital energy or “chi”. There are therefore no side-effects to treatment.

Gentle ~ The Japanese acupuncture style uses incredibly fine needles of the highest quality. Needles are not normally inserted more than 5mm and most patients report the experience as completely painless. Treatment is also possible without needles.

Effective ~ The Japanese acupuncture style is a very “hands on” and practical approach to natural healing. Whenever our health is less than optimal, and especially when we are ill, certain key reflex areas become very tender, even to gentle pressure. The reflex areas indicate blocks to the healthy flow of energy through muscles, organs and joints. When treatment releases these areas so that they are comfortable once more, so our body’s natural self-healing ability is restored.

In this way a huge variety of symptoms and conditions may be treated. Over twenty years of practicing acupuncture I have worked with people from every walk of life and of all ages. From athletes, musicians and artists looking to optimise their performance, to providing palliative care for the terminally ill; from treating people with all manner of chronically painful physical conditions, to those experiencing elevated levels of stress and anxiety.
