Acupuncture

Acupuncture can help alleviate the symptoms of the following conditions.

Headaches and migraine, respiratory conditions (e.g. bronchitis, asthma), anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, fatigue, digestive problems, backache, sciatica, joint pain, menstrual and gynaecological problems, skin problems (e.g. eczema, psoriasis, acne)

At your first treatment a thorough case history will be taken.  This will involve asking you questions about your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, diet, sleep, digestion, energy levels and emotional state.  Once a diagnosis has been made, the appropriate acupuncture points are chosen and the needles inserted.

Needle insertion should be relatively painless, though you may feel some heaviness, distention, tingling or electric sensations near the needle.  Any discomfort felt is usually mild.

Pippa is a member of B.A.B.E. (Brighton Acupuncture for Birth Experience) a team of professional acupuncturists with an interest in enhancing the birth experience using the wisdom of Chinese Medicine.

She is also commited to continued professional development and regularly attends seminars in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
