I offer two methods of being relaxed and open in the present: meditation and Dr Peter Levine’s pioneering Somatic Experiencing trauma therapy. One is ancient; the other very new.
Both explore the relationship between body and mind and the profound relaxation possible when the two are not treated as separate entities in the way modern medicine has the habit of doing. When honoured as parts of a highly intelligent self-regulating system they may naturally lead to a deeper connection with subtler forces of our being - heart, psyche and soul.
