Alternative Medicine :: Ayurveda :: MassageI offer a holistic, healing massage service from home and on a mobile basis from the Guildford and Woking area. I can offer full body, head, neck shoulders and back massage, face massage and foot massage. I am fully insured through my professional association.
Although I am trained in Swedish massage I have been influenced by Ayurvedic massage, although I would not claim to offer an Ayurvedic service. I tend to work closely with a small number of clients over a period of time.
I operate from a healing perspective and have undertaken some of the training of the National Federation of Spiritual Healers, though I am not a healer member of this organisation.
For the last five years I have been studying Ayurveda, and have recently completed a degree in Ayurvedic studies. I intend to become a registered practitioner of Ayurveda when regulation is introduced into the UK for this therapy (after 2006). I am currently spending some time in an Ayurvedic clinic in London to develop my clinical practice and experience.
Ayurveda is my passion and part of my spiritual path and I am keen that the benefits of Ayurveda should be made widely available for all to experience. I am willing to give a limited number of free Ayurvedic consultations while developing my clinical practice.
I work part time as a therapist, and part time as a consultant in the education sector. Hence my availability is sometimes limited, and I tend to work at any one time with a small group of clients.

Introduction to Ayurveda
Ayurveda is the traditional natural medicine of India dating back over 5000 years. It is a unique holistic system of healing based on the interaction of body, mind and spirit.
The name Ayurveda derives from two Sanskrit words, broadly Ayur meaning life and Veda meaning knowledge or science. This conveys the fact that Ayurveda is more than a system of medicine. It is a way of life that aims to enhance our well being, and increase longevity through a union of physical, emotional and spiritual health.
