Indian Head Massage is a seated massage
that concentrates on the upper back, shoulders, neck, head and face or any combination of those areas. The massage can also extend to the arms, hands
and fingers. It involves working with firm and gentle rhythm to help unlock blockages and relieve the uncomfortable build up of tension. However the effect is
not just physical, it works on an emotional level too, calming the client, promoting relaxation and relieving stress. Natural plant oils can be used on the
client’s shoulders and neck (a wrap around towel is provided for this option) or the treatment can be carried out with no oils if preferred.
Thai Massage was until fairly recently a restricted art, only practiced in Buddhist temples
where it was regarded as a spiritual healing system utilising invisible energy lines that run through the body. Unlike the scooping and continuous strokes of
Western massage, the Thai method uses strong point pressure, muscle stretching and deep compression. This is a truly unique form of massage that is
conducted on a futon mattress on the floor. It promotes flexibility, stretches and tones muscles, treats muscular ailments, balances energies and provides
deep relaxation. It also gives enormous release of muscular tension, releases congested toxins and promotes feelings of energy and well-being. All parts of
the body can be treated from the tips of the toes to the top of the head.
Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing system of Reiki. The word Reiki means 'Universal Life Energy'.
Eastern medicine has always recognised and worked with this energy, which flows through all living things and is vital to the well being of life. The energy is
known as 'ki' in Japan, 'chi' in China, and 'prana' in India. Acupuncture, tai chi and yoga are also based on the free-flow of this energy in a person. As a
therapy, Reiki is an effective and simple way of tapping into this energy, and transferring it for the benefit of the receiver, to stimulate the body's own natural
healing potential. The therapists’ hands are placed onto, or near to, the client, in pre-discussed positions and although there is no physical massage
involved the body can feel refreshed and revitalised as well as relaxed after a treatment and emotional problems and stress can be relieved. The treatment
can be conducted in a seated or prone position.

Thai Massage - An Introduction
Thai massage is an ancient healing art thought to have traveled from India to Thailand some 2500 years ago, developing into the system used in Thailand today. Until fairly recently it was a restricted art, only practiced in Buddhist temples where it was regarded as a spiritual healing system utilising invisible energy lines that run through the body.
